Seoul, South Korea: Lush Myeongdong Station (러쉬 명동역점)
Let's just preface this by saying Amanda is OBSESSED, like obsessed obsessed with LUSH Cosmetics. When she found out there were a couple locations in Seoul, it got immediately added to our to-do list in Seoul. After our visit to the LUSH Myeongdong Station location, it's safe to say I'm now obsessed too.
After arriving in Seoul (and dealing with a lost luggage situation) we headed to our hotel to drop off our luggage and headed over to LUSH Myeongdong Station. This location is the largest one of 66 locations in Seoul and it was no surprise that the largest location would be in one of Korea's destination shopping areas. However, I was surprised to find out there were so many locations in Korea. Amanda and I received a lovely and informative tour from Yaejin and Jinyoung from the LUSH Korea Marketing/PR Team.
The entire team was so friendly and welcoming, their energy was just so great to be around. I've never experienced the LUSH demos or displays so this was definitely a treat for me. Amanda insisted I have the Ro's Argan Body Conditioner demonstrated on myself and man oh man am I glad she did. I didn't even know a body conditioner was a thing. For all you people who hate lotion-ing after taking a shower, a body conditioner was made for you. I'm lazy... getting me to lotion once I hop out of the shower is like pulling teeth. But the body conditioner is dual action, not only does it clean your skin, it also leaves your skin soft to the touch. It has a thick shea butter consistency which is what leaves your skin super soft even after rinsing and patting yourself dry. It costs a pretty penny but am I glad I discovered a body conditioner.
I don't know what I'm more excited about... the body conditioner or the Feeling Younger Skin Tint. I'm a LUSH Cosmetics newbie. I knew cosmetics was in the name but I didn't think they actually made cosmetics. I always thought LUSH made bath bombs and fancy soaps. So when Amanda showed me their cosmetics range and the Feeling Younger Skin Tint I immediately fell in love. I cannot resist a good highlighter, but good does not even begin to cover the amazing iridescence left on your skin when using this product. You will literally shine bright like a diamond. I ended up adding one of these to my basket and am I glad I did because it's currently my go-to highlighter.
After selling me on several LUSH products, we got a bath bomb demo and wow these are so cool. The mixture of color and glitter swirling around in the demo tub was beyond beautiful. I am officially a LUSH convert (probably not as big as Amanda) and I love that thy stand behind being a vegan and cruelty free brand. To all you cosmetics and beauty brands still testing on animals or using animal products, go look at a LUSH website, they are able to achieve the level of vibrancy in their colors without testing on animals and using animal products.
Aside from my new LUSH products, my favorite part of the shop tour was the fresh face mask bar. I love face masks. For someone who has uber sensitive skin, face masks are life. The face masks are made with locally sourced farm fresh produce. The set up of the bar itself was beautiful as well.
