Caudalie Vine[Activ]

Fellow Skincare lovers, it's been a while. Sorry you've had to read through all my sappy boy troubles. But I'm so happy to share with you a new skincare range I'm absolutely dying over. Never have I owed so much to a skincare range as I do to the new Caudalie Vine[Activ] range (IS Clinical and Sunday Riley as well, but those posts will follow). In the fewest words possible... March sucked. My skin is very much prone to stress breakouts and with everything I went through emotionally, my skin paid the price. Not only was I dumped but my skin was breaking out, it was incredibly dull and lack luster and I looked like I had been put through the ringer. For those of you who know me in real life, you know my skin care routine is no joke. I take such good care of my skin and even with that... I needed a new boost.

My friends at sent me the perfect skin boosting range at the most perfect time. There was about five days in between my breakup and when I received the lovely parcel of goodies. And in those five days... woof, my skin was not looking so great. I was gifted the Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum, Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream, Overnight Detox Oil and the 3-in-1 Moisturizer. Normally, I introduce one product at a time because you never know how your skin is going to react to new serums, creams, cleaners, etc. and you want to be able to pin point the trouble product but at this point, my skin was in dire need of some love so I threw my rule book out the window and went for it. This is not something I would recommend doing especially because everyones skin reacts differently. The best way to introduce a new product is to spot test it on your skin (hands, wrist, neck) and see how it reacts before applying all over your face. But like I said, I was in desperate need of a skin reboot.

I was pleasantly surprised that my skin had zero adverse reactions from not only introducing one new product but a handful at the same time. I have now been using the Caudalie Vine[Activ] range for almost two months now and I know this is what gave my skin its healthy and radiant glow back. I'm going to share with you the order in which I used the products and the skinny on each of them.

The first product in this range I use is the Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum (which I used after my normal cleansers and toners). This serum is extremely light weight and I feel like you don't even need the full pump for you face. The full pump is a more than generous amount to work into your face and neck. I also love it because it has a fresh, clean feeling... if that makes sense. I've had experience with other serums where it feels kind of sticky to the touch and you almost feel like there is a layer on your skin. The Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum was formulated with Caudalie’s Anti Cell Burn-Out Complex™, which is designed to address damage caused by common pollutants and life stressors. Life stressors?!?!?!!? Gosh this product must've been made for me and came to me at the most perfect time.

After the Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum, next I used the Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream. This eye cream supports natural microcirculation, alleviates dark circles, and smooths out eye and lip contours. I don't know if this goes for all eye creams but I have been doing it with the Caudalie Resveratrol Eye Lifting Balm for years now and I use it not only as eye cream but also on my cupid's bow. So, I was happy to find out the same can be done with the Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream because lets be honest.... I'm quite frugal, skincare can be pricey and I'm all for a dual action product. I used one small dab and split that between my right and left ring fingers and softly dabbed the eye cream onto my under eyes. You always want to softly dab eye creams because the skin under your eyes is the thinest and therefore needs some extra care. This is also why I use my ring fingers because those fingers are the ones that will provide the softest touch. This eye cream is also jam packed with Vitamin E and C which helps boost collagen and plump up your skin... Nature's fillers!

Let's talk about the Overnight Detox Oil... I'm usually very wary about oils in my skin care routine because I have combination skin and the last thing I want to do is wake up with my face feeling greasy but that did not happen once with this product. I was surprised to find out that the Overnight Detox Oil works great with normal, sensitive, combination, oily and dry skin. This little guy has all your skin types covered. This product is 100% plant based and you use it in your night time routine to help fix the damage cause by the daytime skin trouble makers (ie. free radicals, smog, harmful UV rays, etc.). I used 3-4 drops after my serums and eye cream but before my moisturizer and massaged it into my face and neck. The one thing that I do have to mention though is the first four, five days I used the Overnight Detox Oil, the scent was pretty potent which is understandable because it is 100% plant based. After repeated use I got used to the scent and now I don't even notice it.

Lastly, I used the 3-in-1 Moisturizer. Like the Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum, the 3-in-1 Moisturizer was also formulated with Caudalie’s Anti Cell Burn-Out Complex™, in addition to being packed with Vitamin E and C and hyaluronic acids. So basically this tube is filled with the good stuff. Just like the three products before, less is more. I loved the barely there lightweight feel to this moisturizer. This whole range left my skin feeling fresh and loved.

It took about a week for my skin's radiance and glow to return after the "life stressors" that occurred. But now my skin is glowing more than ever and I know it's thanks to the Caudalie Vine[Activ] range.
