Paris, France: The EIFFEL TOWER

There’s no doubt the Eiffel Tower is an iconic embodiment of Paris. Whether you’re a first timer, frequent flier or Parisienne at heart you can’t deny the the magic the Iron Lady possesses. There’s no shortage of nooks and crannies to see her beauty from but in all the trips to Paris I have taken, I can without a doubt say that my favorite place to take in her beauty is from the Jardin du Trocadero.

The Trocadero is one of the major spots tourists will go to take their photos but I rarely see tourists venture down to the gardens or jardin that lies steps below. From the Trocadero if you are facing the Eiffel Tower, you will find two sets of staircases. I prefer the staircase on the right hand side because when you take the staircases all the way down, follow the path way straight through the gardens, before you hit the main street that leads to the Pont d’lena bridge* you will find a little carousel.

Carousel’s always bring a smile to my face. There’s something about them that instantly remind me of happy childhood memories. That with the magic of the Eiffel Tower and I’m a happy girl. There are also park benches that lines the pathway through the garden so I like to stop at Carette and grab a cafe au lait and pan au chocolat before making my way down the Trocadero so I can sit on the benches and watch the sunrise against the Eiffel Tower.

* The Pont d’lena Bridge is the bridge between the Trocadero and Champ de Mars
