Ulta Beauty at Ontario Mills Grand Opening

What's better than spending an afternoon checking out the latest and greatest in beauty??? In my book, probably not much... lol. I was fortunate enough to experience the brand new Ulta Beauty at Ontario Mills before its grand opening weekend November 4 - 6, 2016. Thank you to the amazing staff at Ulta Ontario Mills, especially the Store Manager, Brittany! This location was the most beautiful Ulta I've been in. The design was so sleek, open and flowed foot traffic cohesively throughout the store.

Brittany started my shop tour in prestige with the Clinique Boutique. The "store in store" was very open and allowed for buyer interaction. This was probably my favorite brand set up, it was so sleek and clean. We zig zagged our way through Urban Decay to Too Faced and Buxom and made our way to the second boutique set up, Lancome. My eyes immediately wen to the Bienfait Multi-Vital Gift Set which has one of my favorite Lancome products, the Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate. This is one of the most "age rewind" products I've used. Next we made our way to some Ulta Beauty exclusive such as Honest Beauty and Lorac before getting into Skincare... MY FAVE! I was even more excited to see one of my favorite US skincare brands Algenist with a great display. They even had a private room for the skin services. After skincare we headed into the nail polish bar, The Salon at Ulta and hair care and hair tools. The nail bar had a China Glaze "mini bar" which allowed you to make your own nail polish sets. The hair tools aisle had two rows of fully functional hair dryers for you to test out and experience the speed, weight and heat levels before buying. We then made our way into the drugstore brands. The fact that Ulta carries both high and low price point is honestly why I love this store so much. I'm able to get my more expensive skincare and beauty at the same time as my affordable brands! Two of my favorites in the affordable beauty section is of course Ulta's private label brand and NYX. One of the main reasons I love the Ulta private label is that its vegan and cruelty free. NYX I of course love for there huge range of lip colors and products. After picking up a few items from NYX and Ulta Beauty we ended our tour in the Benefit Boutique. The Benefit display at the Ulta Onatrio Mills was probably the best Benefit display I've ever seen. It was really open and gave you the feel as if you were in an actual Benefit store.

After my tour I decided to do some shopping and let's just say I definitely came home with a ton of goodies. I grabbed several liquid lippies, eye shadow palettes, lashes and sheet masks. Ulta Beauty at Ontario Mills was also extremely kind to gift me with some of their best sellers such as Ulta brand Coconut + Almond Milk Cleansing Body Wash and Moisture Lotion, Matrix Oil Wonders Micro Oil Shampoo and Oil Conditioner, Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Kanani, Mario Badescu Facial Spray and more. I can't wait to test these favorites out. I also wanted to add that Ulta Beauty at Ontario Mills had a pretty good k-beauty section. The had some cult faves from Tony Moly, Leaders, Skin Food, SNP, Biobelle, Maskeraide and It's Skin.

Be sure and head to Ontario Mills for the Ulta Beauty Grand Opening Weekend Event, from November 4 - 6 for giveaways and retailer services. The first hundred (100) guests EACH DAY will receive and Ulta Beauty surprise valued from $5 to $100 AND 50% off haircut or style at The Salon. So AWESOME, my motto is never say never to free beauty products!

Current Makeup Crush: Heimish

Recently, I was introduced to a new Korean beauty brand by my friends over at Style Korean called Heimish. They sent me a couple products to test out and wow, the Heimish Cozy Coral Eyeshadow Palette is my FAVORITE eyeshadow palette at the moment. The colors are perfect for summer (really, it’s perfect for any season) and it’s a great transitional day-to-night palette. It has the light and girly colors such as blushes and coral but has the darker tones such as olive and grey to help transform your eye look from brunch with the ladies to a girls’ night out.

The eyeshadow palette consists of eight colors—two are matte and the other six are metallic and shimmers. For someone who is constantly on-the-go such as myself, I’m always looking for travel friendly products and this palette is the perfect one to bring with you on your travels. It’s compact, not too bulky and even comes equipped with a dual sided eyeshadow brush and mirror.

In addition to the Cozy Coral Eyeshadow Palette, I was sent the loveliest pink lip color called Lovely Day. It’s the perfect shade for achieving that playful girly look. The lip color tied in perfectly with the colors in the eyeshadow palette.

These two products were definitely the best items that could’ve introduced me to a new brand. All I know is that now I am hooked and cannot wait to get my hands on some more goodies from Heimish. What do you think of these products I used? Have you heard of or used Heimish before?

Be on the lookout for a mini tutorial on my YouTube channel with both these products!

Eyeshadow Palette: Cozy Coral
Lipstick: Lovely Day
